Merrick & Vane’s real estate group represents developers, owners, operators, institutional investors, and lenders across the full real estate lifecycle: acquisition and disposition, entitlement and land use, construction and development agreements, commercial leasing, and financing.
On the finance side, the group represents both borrowers and lenders in construction loans, permanent financing, mezzanine structures, and — when a project or portfolio runs into distress — workouts and restructurings. The group’s leasing practice covers ground-up development leasing as well as the day-to-day landlord and tenant work that keeps an owner’s portfolio running.
Because commercial real estate deals routinely intersect with corporate structuring, tax considerations, and estate planning for family-owned holdings, the group works closely with the firm’s corporate and trusts and estates practices on transactions that touch more than one area of law.
